Is that just hype? I’m on a bit of a rant today but it seems like the only thing people talk about these days is social media. Don’t get me wrong, I use social media as much as the next guy – but I’ll be the first to tell you that it can be largely overrated.

A friend told me recently that he had 500 friends on Facebook and 5,000 followers on twitter. When he looked at my pages he was wondering what I was doing wrong ?

Wrong I asked, what do you mean? well he said,”your linkedIN is at 500 + connections,your Facebook is at 1100 friends only and your twitter account has only 1500 followers ?” he thought that being so active on the web, I would have more then that!
